….What is The Hyperborean Spell all about

“the Northern way”

Norge…or Norway for you…

The Viking past is probably my biggest fascination in this country, so much i even got a viking for myself. Norway was one of the cradles of a culture, that up to today is manifested in its people.

It’s a big country with very small amount of people. Its commonly characterized by its nature and weather.

Compared to Portugal its over 3 times its size, but with around half of the population. (Norway has 385,207 km2 and 5,328,212 people while Portugal has 92,212 km2 and 10,291,027 people).

Its Still Europe…how different can it be from Portugal you wonder…

… you have no idea

So many stories to tell

When I moved to Norway i knew already the easy going lifestyle I had back home was gonna be challenged, that i had to put up with cold and dark winters, less social people, and a whole set of different habits. But Norway has taughed me so much in so little time.

…All of these stories i’ll tell you

My story

Has an archaeologist i was having a lot of work but always as a freelancer, which, allied to living alone and a crisis country economy made my life a constant paycheck stretch.

One of my friends had moved to Norway some years ago and made a bipolar account for the life there. It had both very good things and some dreadful ones.

I love to travel (as you’ll also find out in this blog) so i decided to pay her a visit. I loved Norway, but I obviously came in the summer which made that much easier. But the calm and the nature win me over.

…So one year later I packed my bags and moved in

My first snow trip in Norway
